Job Description



Position Summary:  Drives company-provided box truck with capacity of 10,001 – 26,000lbs (non-cdl), 16-26 ft length, load and unload packages to and from specified destinations. Interacts with customers at their home and business locations. DOT Regulated position. Shifts:  Full-time positions 7 days a week operation.

Typical shifts are from 6:45 am to 5:15 pm (10 hr shifts, 4 -5 days work week - however this may vary).

Compensation:  Starting wage is $21.00 per hour. Full benefits available, along with PTO.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Must always represent the Company in a professional manner.

· Drives truck from station to designated customer locations.

· Uses hand held device for routing information, customer delivery information, to communicate with home office/dispatch, to track time.

· Loads and unloads packages into/out of truck, with or without reasonable accommodation.

· Must be able to move boxes up to 300 lbs.(with a helper) , with or without reasonable accommodation.

· DOT Pre & Post trip inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.

· Maintains contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions if unclear or if problems arise.

· Secures packages to ensure no damage is caused to customer shipments.

· Follows all safety rules and company policies and procedures.

· Must be a minimum of 21 year of age.

Supervises:

Limited supervisory role.

Required Skills and Experience:

· Customer Service – is professional at all times with anyone at the customer location.

· Driving and Delivery Experience – must have 1 year of previous driving box truck (or something of that size) and delivery experience.

· Technology Oriented – must be comfortable using mobile technology in an efficient and accurate way.

· Safety and Security – adheres to all safety and security procedures. Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines as required. Uses vehicle and all provided work materials, appropriately.

· Attendance/Punctuality and Timeliness – Is consistently at work at required shift and is on time or early. Completes work in a timely manner and within the standards outlined by the company.

· Dependability– follows instructions, responds to management direction. Takes responsibility for own actions. Keeps commitments. Completes tasks on time or notifies supervisor in advance, if a commitment is at risk.

Qualifications



ATTENTION: You must consent to a Pre-Employment Drug Screen, Background Check and MVR (motor vehicle record) check.

Minimum of 1 year verifiable work related experience with driving box trucks from 16-26 ft. or something of that size or larger.

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. College degree preferred.

Required Licenses:

Valid Oklahoma State Driver’s License is Required.

Work Authorization Requirements:

United States Work Authorization is Required.

Must consent background check and drug screening (DOT Regulated position)

Heavy Lifting:

  • 50% or more of all deliveries

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • commercial driving: 1 year (Preferred)
  • delivery driver: 1 year (Preferred)
  • relevant: 1 year (Preferred)
