Job Description

• Responsible for the handling of all ocean / air Imports /Exports +
• Coordinate arrangements for shipment delivery
• Verify OBL and submit to transportation companies in a timely manner
• Organize required documentation for Import Ocean Air - Exports +
• Maintain and respond promptly to all incoming communications (domestic and overseas) to properly manage and control daily operations
• Confirm bookings and obtain appropriate approvals before relaying information internationally
• Book cargo with transportation companies / Agents
• Track and trace shipments daily
• Receipt of shipments in ERP system
• Ensure that invoices are processed and given to Finance for payment
• Responsible for yearly NAFTA/USMCA Certificates
• Audit customs invoices for accuracy. Analyze Tariff Rates- file duty appeals with brokers
• Support duty drawback applications.
• Resolve invoicing, shipping, internal, problems and implement preventative measures
• Improve internal systems and procedures on an ongoing basis.

• CITT and/or CIFFA certifications considered an asset
• Minimum 3 Plus years of international freight forwarding experience or working in a logistics environment.
• Previous Freight Forwarding Experience is an asset
• Current knowledge of international ocean/ air import/Export rules and regulations
• Canada & USA Customs experience is an asset
• Knowledge of harmonized classification is required
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with analytic approach
• Strong knowledge of computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively.
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience in managing third-party logistics providers
• Ability to interpret and act upon complex instructions
• Accustomed to working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Salary range for this position is $43,000 to $50,000 per year depending on experience
