Job Purpose:

We are hiring a Software Developer 2 to design, build, and manage software applications, with a strong emphasis on application integration involving SailPoint Identity IQ and single sign-on (SSO) solutions using Okta and Azure. The candidate must be highly self-directed and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software systems.
• Conduct research and testing of new software applications.
• Collaborate with developers, UX designers, business analysts, and system architects.
• Implement solutions in alignment with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Develop APIs for managing access controls and integrating external systems.
• Integrate authentication and access systems with Okta and Azure SSO platforms.
• Configure and develop SailPoint IIQ workflows, rules, and connectors.
• Provide technical input for SailPoint IIQ deployment planning and execution.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6+ years of experience working in Agile or Scrum environments , delivering software solutions through iterative development cycles.
• Strong ability to collaborate with technical leads and project stakeholders , including architects and service managers, to support the successful implementation of identity solutions.
• 4+ years of hands-on expertise in configuring and customizing SailPoint IdentityIQ , including:
• Designing workflows
• Writing and managing rules
• Building connectors for system integration
• Setting up policies and governance controls
• Proven experience (4+ years) with integrating Okta for single sign-on (SSO) into enterprise applications.
• Proficient in developing APIs to manage user access, automate approval workflows, and connect identity platforms with third-party systems.
• Comfortable working independently on enterprise-scale identity management projects , with minimal supervision and high accountability.

Preferred Skills :

• Prior experience supporting or delivering IT projects for a Texas state agency or similar public-sector organization is a plus.
