Investment Associate (Path to CIO) — Global Family Office | Palo Alto

An ultra-high-net-worth global family office is building out its U.S.-based investment arm and is seeking a world-class Investment Associate to join its founding team in Palo Alto. What You’ll Do

• Conduct deep-dive research to identify top-performing fund managers and emerging strategies across asset classes and regions
• Provide investment recommendations based on rigorous macroeconomic, sectoral, fund-level, and occasionally asset-level analysis
• Contribute to global asset allocation strategy through both top-down and bottom-up analysis
• Build internal investment frameworks and help institutionalize processes for evaluation, monitoring, and reporting
• Develop and maintain a robust expert network and proprietary intelligence base
• Support broader team operations as the U.S. platform scales

Who You Are

• You have a quantitative or analytical academic background (STEM, Finance, Economics, etc.)
• You’ve spent at least 2 years in an institutional investment role (allocator, fund-of-funds, endowment, etc.)
• You demonstrate mastery of core investment concepts — from macroeconomics and portfolio theory to valuation and fund structures
• You are a CFA
• You are relentlessly curious, intellectually rigorous, and independently driven
• You are comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in fast-paced, flat-structured environments
• You bring strong data acumen and can derive insights from both analytics and qualitative sources
